The Biedermeier Festival will open at 9 a.m. with an open-air concert by the Trautmannsdorf traditional music band on the main square. This will be followed at 10 a.m. by the arrival of the historical groups from Schnurbaumallee via the main square to the festival grounds in the spa gardens. Once there, they will assemble to welcome the imperial couple and open the festivities.

This will be followed by open-air concerts featuring waltzes and marching music, as well as the traditional performance by the imperial children's ballet from the Doris Trummer Dance Forum.

Charming Viennese cafés and restaurants invite you to linger, and rare crafts are offered in elegant pavilions. Young and old alike enjoy the games of yesteryear on the lawns of the spa gardens, and horse-drawn carriage rides invite you to take a tour of historic Bad Gleichenberg. In addition, the ‘Imperial Court Market’ on the main square offers regional specialities and delicacies.

Enjoy this special Biedermeier flair and meet the young imperial couple at the same time!

Costume hire at the Hufnagl tailor's workshop in Bad Gleichenberg. Magnificent Biedermeier costumes can be selected approximately four weeks before the festival.
